This semester I’m doing a photojournalism independent study, and my first project focused on depicting my college’s town via the homes that are scattered around the campus. My professor suggested going all black and white, and I think it helps ties the images together. We agreed that, as a whole, the collection works, but there are a few pictures that wouldn’t be able to stand on their own. I was able to print all of these out on 24X16″ watercolor paper, which was such an awesome experience. I usually just take pictures then save them on my flashdrive, never to see them again. As a society, we’ve moved away from actively taking pictures and developing them, so it was magical to see this huge machine printing my images.
Here they are! All images were taken with a Canon 6D and Sigma 24-70mm F/2.8
